Every contribution directly shapes both the physical and spiritual experience of the Ihsan Mosque community.
We have ambitious plans to expand, adding a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor with separate prayer areas for men and women, as well as spaces for halaqas, events, and Nikkahs. This will be a welcoming space where Muslims of all backgrounds, and those curious about Islam, can learn, connect, and, inshaAllah, take their Shahada in a safe, judgment-free environment.

The Story of Ihsan Mosque Norwich
The Ihsan Mosque in Norwich holds a significant place in the history of British Muslims. Established in 1977, it is home to one of the longest-standing Muslim communities in the UK.
As the city’s Central Mosque, Ihsan Mosque serves a vibrant and diverse community. It offers regular weekly classes, a children’s Quranic Madrassah, and hosts a wide range of community events, from weddings to Aqiqahs.
Every Jumu’ah, we welcome over 150 worshippers, and during Ramadan the mosque comes alive with over 200 men, women, and children enjoying an evening meal together.
In addition, we founded the Norwich Free Market, providing a free trading space inspired by the ethical principles of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In recognition of our efforts, the mosque community was recently acknowledged by the Prime Minister for its outstanding contribution to the city of Norwich.
